Fruit of the Spirit: Goodness

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Goodness may not always be the easy choice but it’s always the right choice.

As we continue our series on the Fruit of the Spirit  we know that God wants to grow good things in us to show that he’s living in our hearts and to share with others. When we have God’s peace in our hearts people will be able to see that peace even when things get stormy around us.

I Grow Fruit?

Did you know God wants to grow good fruit in your life? Not the kind of fruit you can eat, but the kind of fruit that shows others that God is living in your heart and he’s growing you to be more like Jesus every day.  As we set out in this new series on the Fruit of the Spirit we have two memory verses to learn one for the youngest group (age 3) and one for everyone else. See if you can commit them to memory!

Three year olds:
My heart is like a tree
Where God grows fruit in me
Not apples, pears, or kiwi
But love, and joy, and peace

Everyone else:
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23
