Last week we took a look at the VISION of GNF and this week we will look at the VALUES of GNF.  If the vision of GNF is to be a Spirit-led community who invite, challenge and encourage each other to grow closer to God then our values must help us to move in that direction. The question we must ask is, “What values must we hold dear and then actually practice if we are to live out our VISION?”  It is great to have a clear list of our values, which we do have, but it is another to clearly know what it will mean for us to practice them. If you say you value something, but your actions don’t bear it out (ie. I say I VALUE my health, but I don’t exercise or eat healthy), then your value becomes meaningless. Practicing our values and our faith is not always comfortable, but it is necessary if we want to live with integrity.
