The 23rd Psalm is arguably the most oft quote passage of the Bible. It has been a source of comfort for many people for more than three thousand years. Of all the Bible passages used to give comfort at funerals none is used more than Psalm 23. As useful as it has proven for many it is also one that comes with the largest range of preconceived ideas about meaning and use and intent. This morning Pastor Kasey will add to this mix of ideas and feelings on this poem. May you find in it the sort of comfort it was meant to give when first penned by the famed King David, who got his start in life as a shepherd boy in the hill country of Bethlehem.
