The Sacred Way: Lectio Devina

The Sacred Way: Lectio Devina

by Kasey Vander Veen

We are well into the season of Lent here at Good News Fellowship. The ‘Lenten’ season, largely known as Easter, is kind of the opposite of Advent (otherwise known as Christmas). In the Advent season we follow Jesus coming into the world and we light more candles as the weeks go by. In the season of Lent we do the opposite. We extinguish candles and follow the journey of the Light of the World being snuffed out. We all do things that snuff out God and snuff out the light of the world. But the Good News is that snuffing out God is impossible. This week we focus on the relationship between Peter and Jesus. No matter how bad it may seem, remember, Our World Still Belongs to God.
